Try this utility it resets all the registry information for Windows networking.

SOURCE: removing power on password
When you restart your PC, before it boots to windows on the HP logo , tap the F10 key to enter set up, Go to security option and disable to power on option. next time when u restart it would not ask you for a power on password.
