The connect player doesnt work. Download the latest software package from the sony website which raplaces it- Sonicstage-CP. The link is below. http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowArticle.action?section=en_GB_Products&articlesection=1&article=1154694485490&productcategory=%2FAudio%2FNetwork+Walkman&productmodel=%2FAudio%2FNetwork+Walkman%2FNW-A3000&productsku=NWA3000B.CEK&site=odw_en_GB Also, whilst downloading SS-CP, upgrade your firmware to 3.0. The link is somewhere on the download page for SS-CP. It works. Hope this helps.

PS. The most common problem with Connect player is that it wont let you transfer more than one song at a time. So if for some reason you can't download SS-CP, you could always try to transfer tracks like this-although you'll be there a while!

I imported mp3 music tracks from my laptop onto my Zen MX internal storage in the music folder, but I can't locate them. When I connect back onto my Laptop it shows the tracks are there.

To ensure that your player functions smoothly, it is best that you keep the folder structure simple, and minimize the subfolder levels (not more than 6 levels). Also, make sure that your media files are located in the appropriate main folders (Music, Video, and Pictures).

To update, download and install the latest firmware from http://www.creative.com/getstarted/zen-mx/welcome.asp.

the music should be in a subfolder Music > Imported Music.

DOES NOT RECOGNIZE PLAYER WHEN CONNECTED

ive got the new version of the sony sonic stage downloaded onto my laptop, and when i plug my player into my laptop via usb cable, the player itself is recognized straight away as a harddrive/removable disk etc,and you have to transfrer music onto the player as from sonic stage music library, and you also have to creatate you own music library via sonic stage, and u can also transfer music from your own music library wich you use via windows media player, and also u can transfer a cd into you sony sonic stage music libraty, and this is similar to when your using the windows media player as to rip a cd or transfer music onto an mp3 player,as i use all diffrent types of mp3 players myself, and i find the archos gmini sx 202 player to be pretty awesome player,as ive got to of them as well, and i use windows media player as to transfer music files onto them, and i cannot transfer any music files onto the sony ones via windown media player as those music file wont show up on the player at all,and ive tried this myself, and it will only work via sony sonic stage.

How to create my own library?

You will need to download and install sonicstage as this is the only program that can convert your MP3's to the sony walkman format. Once this has been installed, click file, import, scan folder, settings then choose the folder where you music is stored (i.e. my documents, my music) click ok and you music should be imported into you sonicstage library. Once your files are in sonicstage you can use the red arrow buttons to transfer the music you want onto your connected sony walkman
