Walgreens is the "Brand" Says on back mfg for Walgreen Co., Deerfield, IL 60015 Made in China. This is Walgreens Model #83 Digital BP Monitor - I need the user manual/instructions please!

How can I check that my Homedics Thera P is giving me an accurate blood pressure reading. My blood pressure appears to be jumping all around during the day and then spikes during the night. I am going to my doctor but I don't know if my readings are correct. I will replace the batteries today. My device is about two years old and I have never replaced the batteries. Any ideas?

A monitor using Hg is only a valid monitor reading. Most electronic devices produce approximate results and are mostly good for taking several readings daily and obtaining a mean daily BP. Device calibration appears to be not accessible to the the user.Also, depending on age & condition of your dad, sequential reading must take place after elapse of enough time for circulation to be at steady state in the arm again, or if you immediately after a measurement make another, even with the same monitor you will obtain a different result.

Possible explanations and work-arounds based on various blood pressure is if it has worked religiously like mine had and this error comes up, and the simple fixes below do not work, there is something internally wrong with the unit..there does not seem to be any customer reset or obvious fixes..

Blood pressure cuff does not inflate

If it is an older device then rubber seals may have dried out. If not in warranty and you are capable then take it apart and use olive oil on the rubbers. If it does not even pump then get a replacement.

I called the 800-634-4350 number on the back of the device, and got someone who immediately emailed me the instruction manual! Now that is unusually good service for this day-and-age.

Most of the Walgreen's Automatic BP Monitors are manufactured by HoMedics. I'm not sure yours is or isn't. Try to locate your Owner's Manual, as it will tell you who manufactured it. Most have a 5 year limited warranty, as long as you have your Proof of Purchase.

Walgreens stocks and sells this monitor. Simply go to your closest Walgreens, speak to the pharmacist and I'm sure they'd be happy to make you a copy of the Owners Manual from one on the shelf.

How I can test the accuracy of the Wlagreen blood pressure monitor

If you don't have highly accurate static pressure meter and BPM simulator you are not able to fully test the accuracy of a BPM. However, the simple way to test it is use the same human body to compare the Dia. & Sys. result you got from this walgreen mahine and the traditional manual mercury type BPM.

I have a HD502 Walgreen Digital Blood Pressure Monitor and I cannot get a reading after inflation of the bulb. The monitor blinks and makes noises and then the Err1, Err4 or Err8 message appears.

Hi, I'm sorry I don't have a solution for you. I have the same monitor but I'm actually looking for the "t" plastic part that unite the hoses together and connects into the actual monitor. Not sure if you got it to fix it but if you still have ir, are interested in selling that little piece to me? I would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Need instruction manual

Homedics makes several units that are virtually identical to the Walgreen counterparts. Why not try the Homedics web site? It has a support section. Be sure to list your model number as there are several wrist cuff models. If the web site doesn't help, either call Homedics or try a web search by listing your model number followed by 'manual'. I would have tried to find the manual for you but I don't know the model number. Good luck.
