Question about Eureka Whirlwind LiteSpeed 5843 Upright Vacuum

5843 All of a sudden this vacuum is extremely loud. The office I work in is VERY dusty, but that's what this vacuum is made for. Still works great, but LOUD; rattles your brain loud~ Any suggestions on what is going on or how to fix it? It's a GREAT little vaccuum!

remove belt to brush roll and see if noise persists. if it stops, you probably need a brush roll. at least doing this will narrow down the fault area

Loud noise??


I have the exact same problem. I've taken the thing apart and cannot figure out what is causing the noise. It's not the belt and it doesn't seem to be coming from the engine. It sounds like the spinning brush is hitting something, but it's not, that I can see.
