Some of the AC plug for dell monitor need to force little more than others. make sure the plug on the button is fully seated. (pull it out and reseat it).
the power button is the first one on the lower right hand corner.

Dell 1905FP powers up but screen goes black after a few minutes

The monitors inverter seems to be failing. If you look up close, can you see a very faint image of the desktop?

You should think about getting a new monitor it might be cheaper than repairing.

The screen flashes on my Dell 1905FP Monitor, Is there a fix?

Hello,

This is a common indication of bad filter capacitors on the power supply board. Below is a picture of the power supply board with the problem capacitors circled in yellow. The repair is easy, you just need to replace those capacitors and the unit should be as good as new. Below the picture is also a link to a full repair guide showing how to dis-assemble the monitor and what parts need to be replaced. the repair guide has a full parts list for the job.

1905FP stuck in PowerSave mode. I'm using as a secondary monitor to my laptop, but won't activate when I send an application to that monitor. Everything worked properly until a few days ago, but I haven't...

Try to connect the monitor to a working PC.
If there is no problem, then you may try your laptop with a working monitor.
If you having same problem may be you should review the process for outputting display from your laptop.

My Dell 1905FP 19 monitor went black & green power light flickers

It sound like a short circuit. I had this problem with 1907FP model. It had an USB port on the monitor which got damaged and it was shortening to the groung. In your case it might be a bad internal power supply board.

My Dell 1905FP LCD monitor Power light blink on startup

Hello,

This is a classic symptom of filter capacitor failure on the power supply board. The Dell 1905FP and 1907FP both use the same power supply and this type of failure is very common. You can repair the unit by replacing the filter capacitors on the power supply board. Here is a picture of the board with the problem capacitors circled and below is a link to a repair guide for this series monitor.

Cannot raise vertical height after pushing button on back of monitor (button stuck in)

With the monitor in the lowest position, push down slightly on the monitor and push the button in. While holding the button in you should be able to raise the monitor with your other hand. This worked on the one I have.

Power button stuck

I had the same problem. To get to the power button you just have to remove the front trim panel that the button is attached to. There is a small slot on the bottom of the pannel near the power buttom. I inserted a very small screwdriver and pried the front corner up then very carefully I went around the perimeter with the screwdriver and released the snap hooks by gently prying the silver side trim panel away from the front trim panel. It's not hard but you have to be gentle so as not to break a hook or mar the trim. Once you have the front trim panel loosened there is a wire which connects the four buttons on the front to the monitor. It's very short so don't drop the front trim panel.
