SOURCE: He3t/Duet IWater Inlet Valve Substitute?

Valve cleaning.
First check whether anything is clogging the mesh, where water enters the valve from your faucet hose. The cold water valve is probably stuck open. It should open only when there is voltage across the valve. It could just be clogged inside. If you can remove it, you might be be able to take it apart and clean it. Just make a note of how parts fit together as you are taking it apart. Clean all parts with old toothbrush and reassemble. Before you reinstall, connect it to a garden hose outside. No water should come out when you turn the hose on. If it still fails, just buy a new valve.

SOURCE: Fisher & Paykel GWL11 Leaking water

If you cannot see the water leaking from the inlet valves, check the seal just above the water pump located directly under the drum. I am in the midst of awaiting parts to fix this very thing on my FP GWL11. This leak is dripping water directly onto the motor, causing it to trip the circuit breaker during drain/spin cycles.

Note... I have also had to have the inlet valve assembly replaced as well as it was not opening to allow cold water to mix with the hot.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Accessing water inlet valves on whirlpool duet front load washer

You will have to remove the top panel , 3 screws behind the washer , then lift , from the rear . The washer needs to be out far enough , for a driver to remove the screws , and , pliers , to remove the hoses .

My Whirlpool Duet front load washing machine is showing a F/H code. The manual says to check the hoses for kink/leaks etc. we have done that and there arent any. The machine still shows F/H what would be...

Hi

Error code FH appears when No water is detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip is not detected. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. If there is no water entering the unit then make sure that the inlet valves are working fine. You may need to check the continuity at the inlet valves. If the valves are fine then check whether inlet water hoses as they might be plugged. Also check for inlet water screen at the valve. However, if the water is entering into the washer then the Drain pump might not be working. Also inspect the Pressure Switch hose whether it is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch. Also check hoses for leak and inspect the flow meter. Hope this helps...

Water seeps into Whirpool Duet washer

If your washer is leaking water when it is not in use, the following link explains how to troubleshoot to isolate the cause:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3753262-front_load_washer_fills_when_not_in_use

The problem is either attributed to a defective pressure switch or a water inlet valve that is leaking by. The link I provided will explain how to determine which one.
