If your camera has been damaged in a fire then I'm not surprised it doesn't work properly. Take it to an authorized Nikon repair shop. Since it's a D60 I assume it's out of warranty but your insurance may cover some or all of it.
The camera doesn't NEED a charger. It runs on three standard AAA batteries, disposable or rechargeable. If you use rechargeable batteries then you must charge them using a separate charger, the camera will not charge batteries.
i coucil to you if the problem is only that the camera dont charge but works normal.... buy on ebay a external charger.. search the charger with the camera model...you can find the charger on international buyer china or united states...wit 8---or 10 gbp with batterys

Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Hey MALENATATI, If the insurance you are talking about is a service plan from a Best Buy™ store and the service plan is an ADH plan it should cover the repair of the LCD screen. If this is the case you need to take the camera to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store and they can send it out to be repaired. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Allan Go Ahead. Use Us.
