Won't turn off even with key off
If the lights only stay on when key is in ignition, your central brake lights (or one of the lights) are out. The other lights stay on as a warning that the centrals(or other brake light/s) are needing replaced.

the best way is to call Ford with your vin# and have them fax it to you or go in they can pull it up the in their computer by vin so there are no mistakes/ Please rate my response thank you very much

with an abs light on it means the antilock brake system is disabled and therefore your brakes could lock up in an emergency braking situation other than that your brakes will work normally. the antilock brake system works on signals from tone rings and sensors that sense if any wheel is slipping locking up or losing traction, there is also a brake pressure modulator. you should be able to pull the codes for the abs auto parts stores should be able to do this for you with a code reader most will do this for free, this will tell you where the problem is. hope this helps

Check behind your brake pedal. I don't remember what the parts were called but the same thing happened to me. When you put your foot on the brake there is a plastic or rubber circle attached to the brake pedal that comes in contact with a switch. It causes the brake lights to come on. When you take your foot off the brake it turns the switch off and the brake light goes off. Over time this rubber or plastic circle gets worn and it is still in contact with the switch so it remains on. When this first happened to me I was able to adjust the switch so that the pad came completely away from the switch when I took my foot off the brake. The second time it happened I had to replace the pad on the pedal. I actually made my own because it looked like it was part of the pedal. I also had to replace the switch another time. The switch cost under $20.00 from a parts store.

Your brake light switch is stuck. It is located on the brake pedal and they will do this sometimes. You can replace this part for relatively cheap and it doesn't take very long. The other option is to spray it with some WD-40 and try to work it out. Do one of these two things and you will be good to go. Let me know if you have any other questions.
