Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have it everything installed but the camera just freezes.

What operating system are you using, Windows 7?
Did yo install the correct driver for your operating system?
If you did the above and it still doesn't work, I would restore your system to an earlier date than when you installed the webcam, and try to install the drivers for it, and try to use it.
More drastically, if it still doesn't work, then I would try 'Recovery' console to make your computer have the original settings from the factory, automatically install all Windows updates, then install the camera and reboot, and see if it works then. However, the latter method will destroy all of your data, so back it up before you do that.

I noticed that there was an optimized for Windows Live Messenger software package downloadable from the above site.

Hi,
First of all make sure your computer is free from virus..
You can download free stand alone anti virus tool like kaspersky or trend to scan pc.
Also the next step is to check the internet connection.
At times poor bandwidth result with these problems

Everytime i use it with the skype it started for a few minutes then it freezes i want to uninstall it completely please help .Also the window live messenger is not working everytime i post a call or video...

This issue has been determined to be caused by a compatibility problem with Windows Live Messenger 2009 and the McAfee Site Advisor. McAfee is working on a patch to address this issue, but until it becomes available, you may try the posted workaround on their website at: http://service.mcafee.com/faqdocument.aspx?id=TS100601

My webcam

Can be several reasons
1) Lack of resources - internet connection etc
2) Check settings

INTERNET CONNECTION
Webcam connected
Open messenger - on top toolbar. Left click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Connection - Select 'no proxies' or 'connect direct to the internet' depending on the version of messenger you have
make sure your internet connection and country are correct in the lower two boxes > Apply > OK

TESTING
> Messenger > My webcam - the warning panel will launch, click 'OK' and your webcam will start.

DEFAULT
With webcam still running > Messenger > Preferences > Webcam > Camera Source - set your webcam as default using dropbox. > Camera Settings - adjust settings to suit. > Apply > OK
Take a note of any additional software, if you have multiple choice for Camera Source, you may wish to uninstall any redundant webcam software later to prevent conflicts

The person viewing the webcam should make the INTERNET CONNECTION as above ( less webcam connected )

Sometimes it takes a bit of juggling and I have been running on "connect via proxy" for 3 days to enable my webcam to show as 'available'

Error tm proxy module [-5/pho/eng00000001]

Everything I've read about this error points to Trend PCCillian as finding a virus and not knowing how to correct it and/or the Pccillian itself being infected. If in fact you due have a Trend Product then I suggest you download the following: Dr. Web, Malware Bytes, and Superantisoyware. Uninstall all Trend micro products and then run these 3 programs.

Everytime LifeCam is plugged into USB port computer freezes

Normal 0 How much memory do you have installed in your computer? It may need to be increased as this is likely to be the cause of your computer freezing.
Hope this is of some help. Bud
