No it won't, because this is an automated process.

You need to re-install Internet explorer. Try and get another version on disk or an alternative browser such as firefox.

Sometimes when I click on the Internet Explorer icon, and error message appears in front of a blank web page. The error message says "Internet Explorer has stopped working. Click to close program". When...

Try a scan with your virus scan, then with a malware scanner, i use Malwarebytes.
I would then use CCleaner, use the registry cleaner also.
This will clean out all your temp files, and remove any registry errors that may be causing IE from starting properly.
You could also use Firefox, or chrome as your browser if this does not fix it

When trying to send a message, I can't - told to go to adobe, etc.

you need Adobe flash player support in your web browser.

Download Adobe flash player, below is the download link

http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe

Note: you may not be able to install Adobe Flash Player if you keep the browser open.

Close all your Internet browser like Internet Explorer, Opera or Mozilla Firefox etc. and install the software.

"Internet Explorer has has stopped working..."

After installing IE8 on vista I kept getting msg Internet Explorer has stopped working - continually looping thru this message.

Solution for me was.
End IE with task manager - needed to do a couple of times.
Then from control panel -> programs -> manage addons I disabled all add ons and then IE started OK. Then by process of elimination stated enabling add on until failed again.

In my case it was the skype addon that was causing IE to fail. Leaving it disabled has allowed IE8 to function.
