Instructions

    • 1

Unlock your Kenmore dishwasher control panel by pressing and holding the "Heated Dry" button for four seconds.

    • 2

Press a series of four buttons in quick succession. Press "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" to instruct your Kenmore dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test.

    • 3

Wait for two minutes while your Kenmore dishwasher runs its diagnostic test.

    • 4

Press the "Cancel/Drain" button once your dishwasher has completed its diagnostic test. This should reset your dishwasher control panel and stop the "Clean" light from blinking repeatedly.

Hope this will be of help to you

      Have an awesome day

Thanks for the instructions! Unfortunately, I think the control panel must be dead--it didn't respond to the attempt to start the diagnostic. :( I'm glad I could try this first, though--now I have to decide if we will replace the control panel or the whole dishwasher.

Here is the refresh solution I found that worked:

Push Sani Rinse, then Heated Dry, then Sani Rinse, then Heated Dry, then Sani Rinse, then Heated Dry, then Cancel, open the door and close the door. The "Clean" light stopped blinking, and I was able to start the dishwasher!

Monitor flickers and faint bands scroll down the

could be fixed by ajdusting the refresh rate....

you could try this (xp pro sp2)

please rate if useful, good luck

Open Display in Control Panel.
On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
On the Monitor tab, in the Refresh Frequency list, click a new refresh rate.

To open Display, click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.
  • The default refresh frequency setting is 100 Hertz, although your monitor may support a higher setting. Check your manufacturer's documentation for information regarding the settings your monitor supports.
  • A higher refresh frequency reduces any flicker on your screen, but choosing a setting that is too high for your monitor can make your display unusable and cause damage to your hardware.
  • Changes to the refresh frequency affect all users that log on to the computer.

When the refresh rate changes then the screen will flicker. Change your refresh rate to above 75.
Here is how: Click on Start>Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced>Monitor>and you will see screen refresh rate. Change to higher rate.
