Question about GE WJSR2070B Top Load Washer
Thanks for your assistance. 1. This morning, my washer started leaking seriously. I opened up the back panel and discovered that a small hole in the basket (one of several) was leaking fast. As far as I could ascertain, none of the other holes were leaking. 2. Upon further inspection of the inside of the basket, I discovered a small, nail-like projectile (sharp as a nail) was projecting about 2" into the basket. I pulled on this but coiuld not draw it out of the basket. I wander what that is and how it got there. Sticking out, as it is, could rip delicate clothes during the wash cycle. And advice will be deeply appreciated. Capt. Donald Kilpela
SOURCE: GE Washer won't drain or spin
this is something that you can fix even if your not a technical person . first you have to open the washing machine front panel or back panel , second , follow the DRAIN HOSE to where its connected to a little motor, disconnect the DRAIN HOSE , take the LITTLE MOTOR out and clean it out , it could be clogged.
it happen once and find out the person put the BATH RUG SET
to wash , the rug was so old that pieces of a rubber underneath the rugs clogged the drain , so there was no rinse and no spin.
try it , I hope it helps.

I have the same GE washer with the ripping issues. I have had serviceman after serviceman out. They have continued to say I don't load the washer right or I overload. The last seviceman ordered the boot (seal) to be installed on my washer. That has been a little over a month ago and I have not had a ripping issue....fingers crossed!! I think GE is well aware of this problem and needs to do a major recall. This applicance does not live up the the cost. I have filed a claim with the GE claim dept and am going thru the process to get refunded on the clothes that were destroyed. I luckily had kept a lot of the clothes because I planned on writing a complaint letter. I have not received the reimbursement yet....we will see.

Removed hose connecting to water pump at tub. Removed clog (ink pen, coins, etc). Replaced and ran washer. Ran through all cycles - no leaking, no pausing of cycles. Problem is resolved.
