Question about HP Photosmart Premium C309g multifunction InkJet Printer
Printer cartridge will not move from under housing on right side. I checked for paper jam and found none. nOw getting printer head errors but can't remove because it wont go to the middle of the carriage

There is a latch at the back of your printer that opens so you can remove paper jams from the back. You can start there and then slowly peel away the rest of the paper that jammed...

hi, it could be that there is to much friction on the slider rod, this is the rod that the carriage slides on when printing it can get dirty and dry. try cleaning it with a lint free cloth and alcohol. then apply a couple drops of a light oil to the rod and spread it on all sides with your fingers. use something like sewing machine oil, dont use wd40.

if that doesn't work then that means that the carriage motor on your printer have gone bad. There are motor parts being sold on the net that you may want to check out first but if that sound inconvenient to you then there is most likely a mechanical issue causing the error with would require the printer be sent to hp for repair. this probably wont be worth the time and money. so be prepared to possibly buy a new printer.

There's a small locking mechanism that holds the carriage in it's home position. This needs to be slightly sprayed with WD-40 or a similar lubrication (small amount). Problem solved.
