SOURCE: hp 4315 won't recognizes printer,

I am a technician working in a school that had lots of different models of HP printers and they all had this fault. HP don't seem to be able to sort this out as the printers ranged in age from 7 years to 9 months old. Sometimes I had to keep the printers turned off for up to 3 days before the print queue would clear. The best solution I found was to replace all the HP **** with Brother or Epson printers; no more errors.

I am trying to print to my hp officejet 4635 from my ipad but the printer is offline. How do I get it back online?

Sometimes the only thing that works is to shut the printer down completely and disconnect both power and the data cable, then set it up again and check that it is back on line. Before doing that, though, check the printer in devices for a jammed print queue. You will have to empty the queue to start printing again.

Difference between hp 4630 printer and hp 4635

There really isn't any difference. Both 4630 and 4635 have same specs as far as connectivity, speed, ink cartridges, etc. You can compare the two at the link below. Hope this helps. Sometimes there is a variation of model numbers for same model for marketing reasons. For example Costco stores would order HP 4630 and that will be the Costco 4635. Hope that makes sense. Hi gotenco1t, to "Update the Driver / Software!"
First: "Turn-off the 'Printer'
"Go to this "Website!"
Fill-in necessary information.
ie: Model #, Brand, and or Operating System...

"Select the [Drivers] you need from the "List."

"Download the Drivers!"

Next, "Turn-on the 'Printer."

If the "Drivers updated the printer; then it should be 'recognized, by the computer!"

"You can: {Check the Printer}.

Click on the -> Start Button -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Printer

"Or" -> Start Button -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager -> Printer

Right, click to open the "Properties."

!Important: "Take a 'moment to rate the help', so I can get 'credit' for the work.

Thank you!" - paul7of9

Wont print after connecting to a new computer

If your printer isn't printing and it's a new printer you've just taken it out of the box, first of all, look if it's plugged into the computer. If the printer is plugged into the computer, the next thing to check is if it's got power - is it plugged into a power outlet? If those things are plugged in, check if the software is loaded so that your computer can recognize the printer. If the printer still doesn't work, call the manufacturer or take it back to the store and switch it out. If it's an old printer, look to see if there's still ink in there. If the lights are flashing and it's telling you to replace the ink, that's what you have to do. If there's still ink left in the printer and it's not printing, chances are it's time to get a new printer.
Thanks for contacting

Update caused re-fill cartridge not to work

erase all hp software and re-boot with the printer unplugged and the plug the print in and let windows recognize the printer and stay away from new updates you don't need them if the printer works fine an update wont make it better HP updates are insane and politically wrong. GOOD LUCK

Failure to comunicate with printer

Do you have your printer directly plugged into the back of your computer? When you installed the printers software and driver, did your system recognize the printer directly plugged into the back of your computer. If you are running XP with plug and play, it should recognize it and install correctly. Try doing a test page after installation. Also, if your ink cartriges are not installed correctly, it will not let you print. Also, make sure your photo software is pointing to your printer as a default.

If this helps you, please rate me.
