I was testing a second monitor and I unplugged the monitor cable while the monitor was on right b4 shutting down my laptop. And the next time I tuned my laptop on the screen never displayed anything nothing not even the boot menu. The laptop is on but blank screen

It doesnt sound like a windows problem. A simple test for this is to unplug the vga or hdmi cable from the monitor then turn it on if it has power it should say no signal. Also try either another power cable to the monitor or change the fuse. Hope this helps.
HOw about the light on the tower? if its stedy green then the tower is ok then run a self test on monitor if it passes the monitor is also ok then unplug the power cable from the monitor and data cable also and press and hold the power button for 10 sec and then connect the monitor to the system
Self-Test Feature Check (STFC)
Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly. If your monitor and computer are properly connected but the monitor screen remains dark, run the monitor self-test by performing the following steps:
Turn off both your computer and the monitor.
Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer. To ensure proper Self-Test operation, remove Analog (blue connector) cables from the back of computer.
Turn on the monitor.
The floating 'Dell - self-test Feature Check' dialog box should appear on-screen (against a black background) if the monitor cannot sense a video signal and is working correctly. While in self-test mode, the power LED remains green and the self-test pattern will scroll through the screen continually.
Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and the monitor.
If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer system; your monitor is functioning properly.
it seems tht the monitor has gone bad & needs to be replaced....try running a monitor self test by unplugging the monitor cable frm the back of the cmputer & make sure the monitor is receving power frm the wall outlet....chk if the monitor displays anything......let me knw if it wrks
make sure all the cables are secure... by unplugging and re-plugging them back in. Does the monitor feel very hot in the back or on top? If so unplug the monitor and tip it upside down to make sure nothing metal fell inside.
Dor, BenQ has a 3yr warranty on their monitors. I would contact their tech support and receive an RMA to return it for repair. It will cost you shipping out there but they will ship it back. I has a BenQ FP731 myself and it blew a capacitor inside that allowed the screen to stay on. Fixed it and had it back in 5-7 days. Good luck.
Unplug the cable from your PC, if the monitor shows a test image, the monitor is fine and the problem is with your graphic card.
If you dont see nothing on-screen after unpluging the cable from the PC, then the monitor in damaged. Send it to repair.
