This product had been reporting "HDD Not Detected" I have since opened it up and replaced the 500g SATA Seagate HDD with another (brand new) HDD. I am still receiving the same error message! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

sounds like a software problem. could be on Windows or on the NVR software. best bet is to re-install windows formatting the hdd completely. once done re-install the NVR software. if that does not solve your problem have a look at the graphics cards in the unit as well as the hdd. they could be faulty.
Hi Welcome to Fixya!
Your hdd is making that sound mainly because it could already be damaged inside. That is also the reason why it is not being detected by the computer.
Same thing happened to me with my 120gb Seagate Barracuda.
Consider in replacing the hard drive on your computer.
The most likely cause is a problem with the hand held remote. These units use infrared light which the eye can not see. But if you have a digital camera it can! Look at the remote through the view screen of the camera while someone pushes buttons pointing at you. If it is working you'll see a pulsing light. if not change the batteries or try a universal remote.
