Question about HP DesignJet 500 InkJet Printer
Try taking off the right cover of the printer and looking at the belt just to the right of the carriage, if the belt is frayed there (due to lots of travel time around the pulley) then it will cause lots of friction or snag the belt and not allow it to move. Also check Scan Axis usag, you may need to lubricate the slider. Hope that helps!
