You may of already tried this but is there a water flow back connection on the hosepipe? has it been connected to the end that fits onto the pressure washer? we had this same problem when it was connected the wrong way round... the flow back stop connection should be tap end...hope this helps...:-)

Adjust the tickover speed. There are lots of videos here. There is a screw stop on the linkage. If operate the linkage by hand you will see it. The Evinrude video shows this well.

I have a 2012 mercury 6hp four stroke that will not idle without the choke on

Hi, Lee and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Float needle and seat sticking.
5. Float level too low.
6. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
7. Idle adjusting ***** set too low.
8. Air/fuel mixture ***** set too lean.
9. Idle port, transfer ports, slow air jet clogged.
10. Slow fuel jet clogged.
11. Faulty fuel pump.

Yard Machine rear tine 6hp tiller that wont start.

Ok, what's happening, is your carburetor metering hole is plugged. When you place your thumb over the carb, it draws fuel through the primer circuit to feed the engine instead. What you need to do, is clamp off the fuel line, take the nut off the bottom of the carburetor bowl, and clean that nut. Look closely at it; there is a hole that goes down the center of it, and a hole that goes through it side to side towards the bottom. These make a "T" shape inside the nut. You need to make sure that these are completely clear and clean. The one at the bottom is very small, and plugs easily. You usually need a small piece of wire to clean it, such as a single strand from a wire brush. You can use carburetor cleaner to loosen it up a bit, but the important part is to clean that hole out. You also need to make sure that the float moves freely up and down while you're in there. If it sticks in the up position, it will starve fuel as well. Also look closely at the gas that came out when you did this. Was there any water in it? If so, let a bit drain out before putting it all back together.(unclamp the fuel line). Hope you have it back online soon.

Craftsman 6hp 150psi 30gal won't keep running

It sounds like the internal circuit breaker in the motor is heating up and then the breaker trips to shut down the motor. This is the protection so you don't have a fire if the motor burns up. The smell you have is the coils in the motor. Sorry to say that you will need a new motor for this unit. I hope this helps out.
