Question about Samsung Cell Phones
WHEN I CAN MY CELL PHONE FROM ANOTHER PHONE IT DOES NOT RING OR VIBRATE
Does it indicate on the phone that you are receiving a call? If not then Pull the battery for 10 seconds and reinstall and try again. If it still doesnt work dial *228 and press call and follow the prompts (this will not work with all carriers) If all that fails, you need to call your carriers tech support hotline and see if they can fix it as its probably a network issue..
Hope this helps'

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have read the manual for your Samsung SGH-d357 and you need to set the ALERT TYPE, this allows you to set the alert default. Choose from Melody, Vibrate, or Vibrate then Melody You need to choose Melody. This will ring but not vibrate. In case you were missing the manual it is here:- http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200708/20070822042739000_att_d357_ug.pdf
