Question about Vacuums
The whistling noise starts half a second after I turn on the vacuum. It seems to be coming from the motor, and you can hear the noise whether the brush-bar is spinning or not. It started when I had owned the vacuum for about two months. The whistling varies in pitch slightly as I push the vacuum around.
Ususally this is caused by a forein object has gotten hung in the suction impeller attached to the motor. the noise flucuates due to the housing flexes with the movement of the handle and rod. the housings are usually made of plastic and something very small can easily get stuck in it and stay for a very long time. The vacuum needs disassembled and the forien object removed from the fan housing...
