Always make sure that your computer settings for audio are checked and set accordingly and that all the equlizers and audio programs that are installed and controlling your audio sound output are accounted for and adjusted properly.

maybe the first step could be checking the subwoofer's fuse.it is located over the power supply connector.

SOURCE: Rear speakers not working

If the test program works using a specific operating system (lets say Windows), and all speakers work.....this means the card AND the speakers are OK AND the OS allows functionality (the drivers are good). This leaves us with...what kids?,,,, that's right... the application. The program must support the use of multiple speakers. The Windows control panel has a little applet called Sound which can allow you to specify your speaker setup, which in turn will notify your apps how many speakers you have. XP uses "Sounds and Audio Devices" - "Advanced" under "Speaker Settings"
Now if you are using the digital input for the speakers (I assume you are) you must enable the digital output for the soundcard. That is driver dependent, and I don't know how Auzentech sets their drivers, but check audio options somewhere, and also make sure you specify coax or optical in regards to both output of card and input of speakers. That might make a difference.
Many games made today support the EAX sound extension library. It's probably best to turn that OFF in your games and set the audio renderer to HARDWARE. That should allow all of them Sweet 7.1 channels to reverberate throughout the entire building or complex of buildings.
To sum it up... the application decides on the audio program. MP3 - stereo, DVD DTS or Dolby AC3 - 5.1, Extended DTS - 6.1, COD4 - The loving goodness of 7.1

SOURCE: Subwoofer not working

Yea I would say most likely a loose wire going to the bass control, is it accessable to behind the controller easily? if so take a look. they are usually soldered, but it may have been a weak solder point that came loose.

Relay?? I've never seen a guitar or bass amp with "speaker protection relays"...usually they're either on or off. Check the simple stuff 1st...is speaker cable from head to cabinet and/or the input cable from bass to the amp good? Check the "Direct Out" for a line level signal (must be connected to a PA or other amplifier) as this is your preamp out signal. Also, plug a shielded cable from "Effects Send" to "Effects Return"...this will verify "effects" loop issues if any. Lastly, vibration test...use a clenched fist across the top, sides and bottom of wood cabinet to lightly "jar" the internal circuits. If it starts working even for an instant, I would suspect intermittent connection inside.

Which are the best speakers i should use with my sony amp 222

Rockford is great for bass and your two way speakers. Alpine still controls the three way speakers that I would suggest for wanting the strong vocals with less bass. Too much bass bad so I would ignore most input from "audio" guys. They always over build the bass side, balance is the key.

Sir my speaker bose 301 series v and i connect to amplifier pioneer 5 x130 watts.also i have center speaker.bose vcs10.is this compatible to good music and movie....

If they're all Bose 301-5's then you have the rare instance of matching speakers all around, so when sounds move around the room in a movie they don't change. I'm envious because even though I have Bose 901's (front) and 301's I don't have that exact match you have. The 301 sound is very good to my ears.

I assume you have them all set as LARGE speakers in the Pioneer, since they are capable of good bass and the parameter is more about Bass response than actual size.

If you added a subwoofer (which you may not need) you might fill in the lowest bass and effects channel.

Have got v125 and k7s. what freq should i set on back of sub?

Since bass response is heavily dependent on speaker placement and room ineractions that would depend on how everything sounds in YOUR room.

You don't say what the amplification comes from, but if it has a speaker level routine you might use IT or a good bass-rich music program to evaluate the effectiveness and smoothness of the bass response where it crosses over from your main speakers to the sub. Use your Mark.1 Earholes and personal preference to make the best choice.

Adcom GFA 5500 right channel emits horrible sound. Broken highs and no bass. Is is repairable by a semi amatuer?

Adcom makes a great amplifer! Usually broken highs and no bass means blown speaker. Try hooking it up to a completely different input source. Try different speakers also. If problem persists, check the fuse. Most will have a fuse on the back you can screw out. Some have two fuses (one for each channel) If this doesn't fix the problem it could be expensive to fix. Also, does this model ave the thermal protection light and if so, does it come on at all?

Woofer popping

Sounds like a loose connection or a blown speaker. I would try just playing around with the wires to see if you can make it pop, if so, the wire you were messing with is the most likely culprit. Also, verify the sub cone has no damage or cracks. I am betting it i a bad connection or a loose wire.

Try to click the EFFECT BUTTON a few times to change the effect settings (see also in display) from e.g. Stereo (which uses only two front speakers) to other settings (for which some will use the other (rear/center/sub)speakers as well). Success,
