Reset intermec cn70

There are 3 ways to reset the device:

Warm Boot - When an application becomes unresponsive.

Press the Yellow Power button (also referred to as the IO Button) and select the reboot option.

Cold Boot - When device itself becomes unresponsive, will loose any cached data.

Press the Yellow Power Button (also referred to as the IO Button) to suspend the device. Remove the battery pack and press the reset button in the battery compartment (Round rubber button). Replace the battery pack and press the yellow power button or IO button. The blue Intermec startup screen appears.

Clean Boot - When device itself becomes unresponsive and cold boot fails, device will be restored to factory state, all data and installed applications will be lost except for data stored in Flash Storage.

- Firmware 1.50.19.0013 and prior -
Remove the battery pack and press the reset button in the battery compartment. Replace the battery pack and immediately press the yellow power button (IO button) and volume down button (the lower
button on the right side) together until a message box appears on the screen stating the clean boot. Press the volume up button (the upper button on the right side) to confirm the clean boot.

- Firmware 1.62.27.6 and later -
Remove the battery pack and press the reset button in the battery compartment. Replace the battery pack and immediately press the yellow power button (IO button) for 8 seconds. Message box will appear stating to release the power button. Press button number 1 then button number 2, confirm again by pressing button number 1 then number 2 again. Message box will state that the device is clean booting.

My Blackberry 8310 just "died"

The device is performing on low battery power and requiries full recharge possibly a couple hours. How to perform a device recharge
1. power off completely
2. connect to power source with cables provided, expecting to the last the duration of the full charge
3. a full recharge once the process is complete would display a message on the phone.
4. until then, do not unplug

CK30 is cold booting when I remove the main battery. The supercap battery status is high and I am not depressing the cold boot button in the battery compartment.

Hello jcapsto. It could be that the backup or 'flash' battery isn't totally charged for one reason or another. This little internal battery keeps a minute current going to the units' flash memory that holds settings and other data and allows warm boots. I would recommend putting your CK30 in it's cradle with the main battery in overnight. Then trying removing the battery and it should spring right back to life. If not, then I would pin the issue on your backup battery and would implore you to contact Intermec or the vendor you purchased it from about replacement/repair. I hope this helps to at least isolate the problem. Good luck!

Unit will not boot. Screen reads

"Check serial Input" is just part of the cycle on boot up. It checks for a key press on boot up so that it can access a hidden menu. A cradle, serial null modem cable and hyper-terminal is required to bring up this menu

You can try and re-install the operating system.

Download the latest image from Intermec (you will need to register) and then load the image onto an SD card.

Remove the front cover just above the scan engine; 2 slot head screws and insert the SD card. Cold boot the device. Take off battery and hit the reset button a few times. Re-install battery.

Image will begin to reload.

Detailed instructions are available with the download.

NOTE: The latest image downloads from Intermec not longer have the Telnet application pre-installed. If you require the telnet client then select a previous version, but then also not that there are usually 2 versions EX25 and non-EX25 scan engine type.

Green light stuck on.

Left the ck30 powered off and removed the battery. Replaced the battery with a fully charged one. After a couple hours rebooted the ck30 and it booted normally. My ck30 was tied to the AS400 system. I think this may have been a factor with this issue.
