SanDisk 4Gb MicroSD card not working on my O2 Ice ... any help will be greatly appreciated :)
I'm facing a problem with my O2 Ice (Special Edition/Black), I have inserted a 4Gb MicroSD card into it but does not seem to work with it. I read on several websites that this card it compatible with the phone but it is not working for me. A friend of mine told me to update the firmware of the phone to the latest possible and see if that helps but I'm not able to find the firmware itself.

Re: SanDisk 4Gb MicroSD card not working on my O2 Ice ......
Hi!what i could understand from various websites is that it supports upto 2 GB only..i did not find any site mentioning any specific memory capacity..only cards upto 2GB are being sold by mymemory.co.uk..hence the inference..

Depending on your network and network setting especially GPRS setting, these have to be manually put into the phone. Try this Service, data account,GPRS,Scroll or put in setting depending on network. Open account o2 WAP GPRS, APN payandgo.o2.co.uk,user name payandgo, Password is password,Auth.type normal and thats it to o2 GPRS settings then Services WAP settings open sim, thenmake a new profile you might have to delete one you dont use Profile edit rename profile o2 GPRS, Homepage http://wap.o2.co.uk/, Data Account o2 WAP GPRS, Conection type WAP, User name o2wap, Password is password back than activate thats GPRS and network settings for sciphone on the o2 once all this is in the phone and you have credit you should be away serfing. you can get settings for any network online hope this will help Wm
I took it apart using a tiny screw driver and just sort of lifted the face plate and touched to circuit board here and there and I guess did a phone version of shocking the heart out of a bad rhythm, plus got lucky. i figured that it doesn't work anyway so it can only improve. Thanks guys, appreciate the help! Teri
take out your sd card, along with your batterry and sim card, put all but the sd back together turn on, then put the sd card back in, if this does not work, you either have te wrong card or your phone has a fault. or you can go to settings and try to find the card in the list.
