SanDisk 4Gb MicroSD card not working on my O2 Ice ... any help will be greatly appreciated :)

Hello everybody,

I'm facing a problem with my O2 Ice (Special Edition/Black), I have inserted a 4Gb MicroSD card into it but does not seem to work with it. I read on several websites that this card it compatible with the phone but it is not working for me. A friend of mine told me to update the firmware of the phone to the latest possible and see if that helps but I'm not able to find the firmware itself.

Can anybody help ? I would appreciate it ;-)

Thanks

    hey,

    thanks for your reply :)

Actually I say the compatibility list on this website :http://shopping.rediff.com/shop/productd...

it says that it is compatible with O2 Ice.
I also tried using a 1Gb MicroSD card but that is also not working :(

Can I update the firmware of the phone as we do on Nokia phones ?

    Thanks

even, my o2 ice (white color) is not working for 4GB card.
From where can I get confirmation that O2 ice supports only upto 2GB?

Hi!what i could understand from various websites is that it supports upto 2 GB only..i did not find any site mentioning any specific memory capacity..only cards upto 2GB are being sold by mymemory.co.uk..hence the inference..

Sandisk micro memory chip not working in my lg620g cell phone

The LG620g works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it's electronically incompatible and will not work in this phone. You need to use microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

1. Be sure that the device you are using the 4GB micro SDHC card for,
is able to use this type (HC=High Capacity) of memory.
2. Check the memory card is working well on a notebook / pc with an adaptor
and/or a SD-cardreader.

you need to either purchase a micro sd card adapter or a usb memory card reader, they are both pretty cheap and available in most supermarkets/electrical outlets but cheaper still on ebay/amazon/play etc it all depends how fast you need it.

The Sansa e200-series uses microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card (the HC stands for High Capacity). While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and won't work. You need to go with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Memory card cant be read My 4gb SanDisk microSD memory doesn't read on my computer. I bought it today at Radio Shack.

Are you using a card reader? If yes, you need to isolate the problem. Please follow the steps below:

1. Try connecting your memory card reader into different USB port of the computer.
2. Try using different card reader to see if there's a problem with the card or with the reader.
3. Connect it into different computer.
4. Remove and reinsert the MicroSD in the card reader and make sure that the card is properly seated.
5. If the card reader and the computer are working but still unable to detect the MicroSD, try to reformat the card.
6. If same problem persist, return it to the store and have it replaced.

Have a great day!
