No the problem is more than your fuze! Micro waves have a high voltage output transformer inside that goes bad. You can fix it yourself but if your not good with electronics I would have someone else do the job!

SOURCE: we accidentally ran our sharp

That doesn't sound good at all. Microwaves are death traps. It could have melted some metal inside. A fuse could have gone, but most likely the magnetron is shot. Might be safer to recycle and reinvest in a new microwave, especially for safety sake when dealing with controlling radiation.

SOURCE: microwave turntable won't revolve

Hello

Inspect the turntable base wheels and guides. If they are gummed up with food or other gunk, they will not turn and the turntable will not rotate. Clean as needed.

Remove the microwave case by unscrewing the casing screws with your screwdriver. Locate the turntable motor which will be directly beneath the oven floor.

Inspect the belt that connects the motor to the rotating table. If the belt is broken, replace it.

Touch the probes of a continuity tester to the electrical contacts on the motor. If the tester lights up, the motor windings are good, which means the motor is functional. If there is no light, the motor needs to be replaced.

Check the wires leading from the cord to the motor itself. Look for any breaks in the wire, or a wire that has been pulled off of any electrical connection. Any connection that has been compromised can be soldered back into place, but if the cord is damaged at all, it needs to be replaced.

Attempt to spin the motor by hand if the continuity is good and the belt is in place. It should spin freely, but if it is difficult or doesn't move at all, you will need to lubricate the bearing. Either apply spray or bearing lube to the motor axles to solve this problem, and allow the motor to spin freely once again.

Usually, power for the turntable motor and the magnetron tube (the microwave source) are controlled by a couple of things. One is a relay on the control circuit board, and the other is a switch that's operated by one of the door latches. It's possible the control board has gone bad or bad connections have developed. It's also possible the door switch has failed or is out of adjustment and the oven thinks the door isn't closed.

Diagnosing this kind of trouble may require working on the oven while it's operating. MICROWAVE OVENS USE HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES WHICH CAN KILL YOU. You might want to leave the repair to a professional because of safety concerns. Unless the circuit board requires replacement, it's probably worth having this repaired. Unlike some repairs, this one won't cost as much as a new oven.

Microwave timer works but will motor will not run/cook.

If everything works on the unit, but you do not receive any heat or possibly the turntable does not turn you have a faulty magnetron (controls heat) and a faulty motor (controls turntable). You would require service on the unit, if parts are available. Some microwaves are so small in cubic foot size, that manufacturer's do not have parts available for purchase/repairs.

Sharp Convection Microwave won't heat and turntable won't turn.

I typically find it is not door hinge issues but door switch issues, especially with sharp. You may heve a little movenent in the door hinge and that is allowing the door hook to move up and down on the plunger for a door switch that is probably a bit melted due to bad connections. If you check the door switches and look for any browning around the terminals where the wires push onto the switch you will probably find an overheated connectoion. Replace the bad switch and run better wires and better termninals to the new switch and it will probably be fine.

I would strongly consider replacing the microwave oven, prices have dropped considerably. The problem you are describing is in the keypad controller board.

Microwave lights, clock, and everything works except when you press start, it just counts down like its cooking, but the microwave is actually not on. No hum as usual or plate rotating. It just counts...

Hi, one of the most common reasons why the turntable won't rotate is that the microwave isn't clean. The turntable guide and carousel can get sticky, preventing the turntable from properly moving. If you have built-on food particles or liquids, fill a bowl with 2 or 3 cups of water and 1 tsp. of liquid detergent and lemon. Run the microwave for about 3 minutes. Clean the microwave with a cloth, including the base of the turntable, guide, carousel grooves and microwave base. Your microwave turntable won't rotate if the grooves on the base of the turntable do not sit right on the carousel. Also, check the position of the turntable guide. Place the guide directly under the turntable. Remove the turntable, and then reposition it into the carousel grooves.
Motor The carousel motor is located beneath the base plate of the microwave. If the carousel isn't turning at all, check the motor. Disconnect the microwave from the power source, and remove the turntable, guide and base plate. Try turning the motor to see if it's just stuck. If it doesn't turn freely after a few seconds, examine the motor to see if it's burned out or corroded. Use an ohmmeter to see if the motor has continuity. If not, you must replace the motor.
Bushings The drive bushings are plastic components that sit underneath the cooking plate. Remove the plate, and examine the bushings. Use a magnifying glass if necessary to see if any debris is caught in the plastic. Clean the bushings, and reinsert the plate. Turn the microwave on to see if it rotates. If the bushings are extremely worn or if some of the plastic is broken off, you need to replace it, which is a complicated repair for consumers. Contact a service technician for assistance.

Sharp 1870 just quit cooking and no turntable

The fact that the microwave and convection both do not heat indicated that the oven is in demo mode, check the user manual, otherwise it will possibly be a relay not triggering, may need a pcb replacement, check Demo mode 1st....Phil
