Question about Philips Senseo HD7832 Coffee Maker

Open Question

I have Philips Senseo SL7832 Coffee Maker and all the lights just stopped working. How do I fix it?

There is a LCD screen on the top and three buttons on the bottom and one day they all stopped working. The coffee maker still works and you can read the LCD screen at the top but there is no back lighting. Because all the lighting went at the same time I would think it is something simple but I see no way to take it apart so I am stuck. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Your machine has been locked because there is too much pressure inside the machine. Unplug it for about 24 hours and leave it with the lever up. After that it should come open. Carefully clean out the tiny nozzles to make sure there isn't any loose coffee hanging out in there. This happens if you make your own pods. Just be grateful that it didn't explode all over your kitchen!

There isn't a way to adjust it. The senseo is calibrated to make either a 4oz or 8oz cup. Unfortunately, we are so used to buying mugs at the store that are MUCH bigger than this!

Believe it or not, vinegar is a blessing for cleaning nearly anything out of your coffee maker.

Fill your water reservoir 1/4th full with vinegar, then fill it the rest of the way up with water.

Run the coffee maker, then let it sit for about 10 minutes. Pour the mixture back in to the reservoir and run it again. Let it sit another 10 minutes.

Dump the mixture and use plain water this time. Let it sit for another 10 minutes. Dump the water, then repeat with clean plain water.

Wash the filter basket and pot with hot soapy water. If the vinegar smell is still present, just run it again with plain clean water.

My senseo coffeemaker has stopped pumping hot water through the coffee pods. What do I do to fix it?

When was the last time you clean it with vinegar? Run vinegar through it and you will see hard water scales that were built on the heater. Coffee makers should be clean out every month then with 2 rinse cycles after that.

The pod holder has an O ring to seal the black plastic disc in,if it is not sealed you will end up with more volume and a weaker coffee without the foam, either knock the disc out and try and seat the O ring and then knock it back in or buy a new pod holder,I had this same problem
