I had the same problem. Upgraded from G5 PowerPC Tiger OS to iMac Snow Leopard. Have a Snapscan 1236U (ScanWise) and got the same error message ("cannot find the current ColorSync System Profile"). Downloaded trial version of VueScan (www.hamrick.com) , scanner worked, so purchased the VueScan Professional Edition ($79.99) (Standard Version is $39.99). My scanner is now working GREAT!
did u follow the installation instructions for the scanner, sounds like you may have missed a step or done the software installation incorrectly, there are ways around any problem like this, it all depends on what the operating system of your computer, so let me know if you can't get it right what operating system u have, also remember many many types of hardware get sold with software that is defective, so go to the Agfa product support site for the scanner and download the latest version of software
Dear sir,I am sory for your problem. Please format your oparating system i mean you install new windows.some times optical driver did not read properly data cab file,So hardware driver is not support properly.Windows xp SP3 is not complite version some messing.
Thanks You are success
Minolta's crummy software is notorious for this. Most people can't get it to work even by removing and reinstalling the driver software. The best solution is to use a third-party driver software called VueScan. You can download a trial version for free to see if it works before you commit to buying it. If this doesn't solve it, you most likely have some sort of hardware problem.
What version of windows are you using? Which software are you using to do the scan, and what version? It sounds like either the version of scanning software is incompatible with the version of windows, The USB connection (Assuming it is connected via USB) is a older USB connect (1.0 or 1.1) and a update to the firmware is causing a fault in the final scan, or finally the scanner has gone defunk... time to get a new one.
