Question about JVC TM-2703SU 27" TV
I turn on set by manual on button on tv as remote wont work anymore and the set turns on and the volume automatically turns up max volume and if you turn it down it goes back up again and channel wont change from channel 02 menu displays but wontwork either . any help would be appreciated thanks.
Nope a very easy problem .. What it is is the relay is stuck on or closed so when you plug in the set the power comes up But the micro hasent told the rest of the set to work yet. So when you hit the power button. its just like you hit the power and it activated the relay and the rest of the set. Now in some rare occasions the driver transistor for the relay was shorted But most of the time its the contacts that weild shut, but you cant just clean them as it will work for a while, but in a month or so you will be in the smame boat. But if you not a tech this repair shouldnt cost you to much because if your not an experienced tech you can not only cause harn to the set but also you yourself BE CAREFULL and take the set to a pro!!!! Good Luck

Manual push buttons part number should be CM35776-B01-SA.

,,always unplug the set from AC,leave off a few minutes,,then re-plug back in,,that resets the micro--also,it could be the volume up button stuck-that would kill the other keys from working--you could try with a tooth pick to pull VOL UP back----THIS IS DANGEROUS --SHOCK HAZZARD!!! if someone is technically incline, with the back of the tv off,,turn set on and unplug the keyboard plug from the main circuit board while the set is playing--then use the remote and see if the fuctions returned-THIS IS DANGEROUS-SHOCK HAZARD---I REPEAT -DANGEROUS!!!! PLEASE BE CARFULL,if that cures the problem-you have a bad keyboard-you can just leave it unplugged and use the remote----JUST BE CARFULLLLLLL

The fault may be the control panel, or it may be in the uPC itself.
Most of the time, it is some of the switches on the control panel.
The most common cause of this type of failure is that many times when people clean the TV set, they spray cleaner directly on the screen or the set. The liquid runs down in to the set and causes damage. Sometimes the damage can be very expensive!
If the fault is just the control panel board, this can be easily replaced. You can order one from the manufacture's parts department or from one of their parts distributors.
You will need the service manual, a scope, and a DVM to troubleshoot the problem if it is more involved than just changing the panel. The only way to know is to try the panel unless you have a way to test it.

TV seems to reset it's settings for some reason (it happened to me with similar TV - LT-32A80SU). I have found the way to solve this situation - service menu.
Press button "i" and "mute" on remote at the same time - service menu should appear. Now press 8 and there should be menu that allows to change few advanced features. Pressing down and up arrows allows to navigate, pressing right and left arrows changes values. You have to change "dual HDMI" to YES (this will enable second HDMI port) and change "remocon" to other option available (this will change how the remote behaves). Save settings by pressing OK button. Now you can leave service menu by pressing "i" button twice. You should now be able to use your TV like before.
Remember - these are instructions for my TV and they worked for me but playing with service menu can be dangerous so you're doing it at your own risk. Ask JVS support if you're not sure what to do.
