Question about Computers & Internet
The pioneer DVD-RW dvr17 ata driver disappered from the windows explorer and stopped reading discs. My system does'nt shows any DVD drive in MY COMPUTER. device manager is telling me that Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19),
and I can't find system's registry editor in my laptop model VGN-CR35G/L with vista home premium, can you help me. i have the same problem...when i look in device manager it says it has some kind of error...but it wont ell me what the error is
To go to system registry click on start>all programs>accessories>run then type regedit and press enter. Don't change anything unless you know what you are doing. It sounds as though it could be a driver problem though, try updating the driver from device manager. Right click the device and click on properties then update driver.
The only other solution would be to restore your computer to an earlier time when you know that the drive was working properly. Click on start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and choose a date when you know everything was working okay. I hope this helps.
