Question about Thermador Ovens

2 Answers

Thermador CM302 shuts off intermittently. No error code, timer remains working.

Our Thermador CM302 will be cooking along just fine in normal oven mode (not sure about other modes) and will simply shut down. No lights, no error codes. The bell goes off and the timer keeps working, but the oven(s) simply shut down. Any ideas?

The timer is not doing anything but timing. We are not using it to control the oven so I can't see how that would be involved. And if it was the thermostat, why would the oven icon go off on the control panel? I can see the heating element going off, but not the whole oven.

f1mb. isn't the magnetron for the microwave? This happens when we are using the regular oven.

Most likely a bad relay board. Really just a couple of soldered pin points on the back of it are bad. If you are able to remove it (from the top) inspect each solder point and look very closely with a good magnifier for fractures around the protruding pins. Some are very difficult to see while others are plain as day. Clean gently with a pin or knife and resolder. Relay boards range from $200 to $400 in price.

Dear Craig Buck,

This is either a fault with the timer, or you have a fault with the thermostat. Get a multimeter onto that thermostat and test it, after removing the heating element of course. Then get back in touch with me and I will give you the fix.

Yours sincerely
Ouszen

Have same problem, I am repairing our 648HM double oven. Top oven overheats. I am an electronics engineer. I found that top oven fan has failed, this is the first thing to replace. The grill element also failed which maybe due to the overheating oven. NIGEL

We had a power outage and when the electricity was restored the oven is displaying an F1 and F7 code and is beeping the alarm, how do i stop this?

Hello, the F1 error code means internal logic failure (monitoring function) it sounds alarm and inhibit cook mode You can fix it by replacing the electronic range control (ERC)

F7 error code means the function key shorted for over 16 seconds, check for something pressing a key or preventing normal release of the key. You can fix it by replacing the electronic range control (ERC) if other component check normal.

Thanks

F24 Error code and incessant beeping

Being a software developer I guessed that the keyboard (the touch pad) was bad, because in my case one of the keys (the Top Oven OFF key) did not beep or work. So I went on the Thermador website and found the touchpad on the schematic. I ordered one yesterday from a firm called Mar-Cone in St. Louis, and it arrived today. It is a very easy replacement, and takes about 10 minutes. Happily it was a good guess, and it works fine. For the 27" SEC272BS/01 (stainless) the part # is 474083, and cost $189.20. They will express ship for $25.

Phew, we have 20 people coming for dinner on Thursday.

I'll be happy to let anyone know how to change the panel.

Same issue w/our Thermador CM301. F23 and F24 codes - BSH acts like they have never heard of the problem! Awful service. This should be reported to the Consumer Board.
