-   I am just getting around to trying to reinstall iPAQ software to get my older iPAQ to work with my newer laptop. I got a message during the software upload that the Microsoft ActiveSync version that was to be installed in the process wasn't available. I downloaded a newer ActiveSync (4.5) and it doesn't seem to be compatible with the iPAQ. Any suggestions?
(The iPAQ has frustrated me in other ways but I was going to give it another chance. Now it's looking more and more like an expensive but nonfunctional piece of hardware.)-   codysmydog
Yes, but you will need to download Windows Mobile Device Center - free from Microsoft,
which replaces ActiveSync
ActiveSync is not compatible with Vista

My iPAQ rx 3115 will not turn on. I left it in my briefcase but now it just does not start. I did a reboot, the initial screen appeared, then it frozed and then it just went blank. The battery was fine but the iPAQ just won´t turn on. I returned home and immediately plugged the AC charger and nothing happened. Something similar happened a couple of weeks ago while I was outta my house and as soon as I returned home I plugged the AC charger and the LED that indicates "battery charging" started blinking, so it worked that time, but today it just does not work.
What can I do? I had a lot of stuff there that I need to access...urgently. Please help. Thanks a lot.
