Sir, I have Neff double oven, abou 15 years old. Top oven heats but not to full capacity. Fan works and bottom grill and oven work. Rubber sealing strip around oven loose and needs replacing, which I can do. Would this solve poor heating in main oven or does it need a thermostat. Many thnaks for any help you can advise.

Water does not evaporate why?

That air conditioner has a cooling coil that drips water into a formed plastic pan at the bottom that the coil sits in. The condenser sits in a pan similar to the pan previously mentioned. The pans are connected by a tube that allows the cooling coil water to find its way to the outside area under the condenser. The condenser fan outside has a ring attached to the end of the blades called a sling ring. As the fan spins it picks the water up and "slings" the water against the condenser thus getting rid of the water through evaporation and giving the air conditioner an additional 13 percent more capacity. If you drill drain holes I have seen units quit working because that additional capacity is engineered into heat rejection. Hope I helped good luck.

I have a Tempstar 5000 that is about 15 yrs old and the fan motor to the outside unit will suddenly stop working and the compressor will start making a loud humming sound that does not sound too good. I...

Sounds like the condensor fan motor is going bad.If the fan stops turning or is not turning at full speed, the compressor can not give off heat to the condensor.Which will cause it to shut down on high heat.

So i would start with a new fan motor.Your local heating and cooling supply house should have these in stock.

Please advise heating/cooling capacity for carrier quietline air conditioner vertical through wall model 25 years old model number unknown Thanks

    Hello rgar919,

It is imposible to tell you the capacity of the unit without some kind of numbers to find out what it is. They made more than one unit 25 years ago. The numbers off the compressor may help to find the size of the unit. Please try and find some sort of model or serial number, compressor number, fan motor number something that can be cross referenced.

    Thank you for choosing FixYa.

Window A/c 10 or 15 days is good working\r\nbefore !0 or 15 days ago all Eveporater and section line freeze fan moter good praper work melt the freeze and A/C on A/C giving good cooling what is problem

You may try cleaning the evaporator filter,Also cleaning the outside coil or condensor,Simple green works good for cleaning coils and a garden hose.

Also cleaning the evaporator may help.
When unit is running properly the evaporator should feel cool and wet from top to bottom.
Last, the unit could be low on freon.

Bought a display kitchen with a neff double oven and it dos not work electric is connected and switch lights show ovens should be on but nothing works

it's very possible that you only have half the electricity needed the lights will come with 110v but not the oven so check to make sure you have 220v's also there may be a inline fuse that may be blown but you have to do some searching to find it probably behind the panel on the back side of the oven kill power before looking

    Ac heat not working

Rheem/Ruud are the same equipment with different stickers; they come off the same assembly line. 1) check that you have full air flow: all the vents are open and clear, the return grill is clear and the filter is CLEAN. 2) On the older models there are 2 each 1/4" screws on the air handler that have to be removed and that allows the panel where the FACTORY FILTER is located. If you have a filter in your return air grill, remove the factory filter, if not, leave it in and remember to clean it. While the bottom cover is open, look at the fan to see if it is clogged. DO NOT put your hands in there unless the main power to the A/H is OFF! 3) Go outside to the condenser and you will see a small red or green button at the bottom of the control panel access. Press it. If it clicks and the unit comes on, either the air flow inside is too low (see above) or the unit is overcharged with refridgerant. If everything is clean and there it plaenty of air flow, you will need a technician with the proper gauges, tools and knowledge to set the charge correctly. Be smart: price shop and get references.
