Question about Epson WorkForce 600 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When I call the fax line from my phone the fax line answers. When I dial it from my fax it says no answer. Like there's a transmission connection missing or something. They are all valid fax numbers who are receiving faxes from others. Thanks!
Followed edger allans remedy and now faxes that where not answering before now are. i think mostly because i had it set to, 1 ring to answer and i changed to 6. thanks.

SOURCE: cannot send out faxes
Directly from the wall, phone line should be connected to to Line port at the back of the printer and answering machine should be connected to EXT. port from the back of the printer. Make sure on the fax setting on the printer that you have all the info already ( ur number and stuffs), communication setting on the printer, drd set to all, ecm to off, v.34 to off, rings to answer 6 and dial tone detection to off. and answering machine distinctive ring pattern should be set to 4rings.
And since you are using DSL make sure that line from wall should have a filter then connect it to LINE port at the back of printer...

Unplug line from back of printer
Set the Incoming mode to autoswitching
set DRPD to Off so that it will recognize all incoming calls
** if possible call your telephone company and set a distinctive ring pattern for phone calls
replug cable on line port at the back of printer
then ask someone to send you a fax...

Change your incoming mode from "autoswitching" to "TAM" (TAM is short for telephone answering machine" Press the "Setup" button on the control panel Use down arrow twice to select "FAX SETTINGS" Press the right arrow once The FAX SETTINGS menu appears Press the down arrow twice to select RECEPTION SETTINGS Press the right arrow once Press the down arrow unit INCOMING MODE appears in display Press the right arrow once Press the down arrow until TAM appears in display Press the right arrow once. That should do it for you If I got lost somewhere, it is in your Operator's manual - look in the index for TAM Hope it helped Ed
