The chair sporatically gives me an error #97 (which I haven't found anything on yet). Sometimes it will drive fine and then bang, you're going in circles. I have checked all plugs for tightness but found nothing loose. HELP, my wife NEEDS this chair for daily functionability.

Just had this problem with my Guardian Aspire. They had to replace the electronic box with the joy stick. BIG BUCKS!
SOURCE: Motor Wiring
Two white wires are for the electric brake. When the wheelchair is turned off while on an incline, the motors automatically lock up, preventing the wheelchair from rolling backwards. The white wires disengage the electric brake when power is applied.

Firstly disengage the drive levers and then "flick "them in fash.
Second pull out the large plug that is between them.
Check for damaged or bent or loose pins. press it home firmly .
I did this on my wifes chair and she zooms around.
All switched etc should be off during charge.
Lastly i fully discharged then recharged the battery to ensure no "battery charge memory".
To fully dicharge i shoved a small box between back wheels so to lift of ground and then a elastic band to hond controler on.

Sounds like you need new batteries. Assuming that the chair is programmed for a faster speed and has gone faster in the past the most likely culprit is old or discharged batteries. The charger or plug may be at fault also. Also check that the charger is plugged in and the indicator lights of the charger are on.
