How do I correct error U2-40 on Sharp AR-M236


Hi,
U2-40 is the error code for the toner cartridge.
It indicates a fault with the chip in the cartridge.
Try entering simulation mode to reset the error first, to do this make sure the machine is in COPY mode.
Then press the following 4 keys in order: #*C*
then enter 16 & press the copy start key.
Then follow the instructions on the screen to reset U2 error.
When complete, press CA key to exit simulation mode.
If the error re-occurs then the toner cartridge will have to be replaced & the machine reset again as above.

AL-1631 is flashing a H 4 code


You may have a fault with your fuser unit such as its lamp, thermistor or thermostat. However, if this is only happening because of the cold snap you may be able to reset the machine using the following:

Press in quick succession # * C * and the screen should prompt for a simulation number, if it does enter "14" and press the start/copy key, if not retry. If successful, on pressing the start/copy key the machiine will attempt a reset. This error code appears if the machine doesn't reachoperating temperature within a specific time so trying this after the machine has tried to warm upcan have its advantages.

Error code C4 76


Error 76 is communication fault with remote control, or bad PCB board.

Probleme code H4


Press # * C * , that will put the machine into diagnostics.
Enter the number 14 as if you were making 14 copies. Then follow the screen directions to clear the fault code. Should be enter 1 then press start.
The machine will reset and should be fine.

Unlatch Then Relatch the Transfer Unit Below the Xerographic Module

Remove Paper and Other Obstructions From the Paper Path

Use Paper or Other Stock From a Fresh, Unopened ****

XC-830 copier Displays fault code H-3


Give this a try , if it continues you will have to replace the fuser.

Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your copier and will help to clear error codes.
  1. Turn the power off.
  2. Locate the Clear Button, which is grey in color, in the upper right corner above the green Start Button.
  3. Locate the Auto Button the lower left corner of the Control Panel.
  4. Turn the power back on.
  5. Press the buttons in the following sequence, releasing each button after each time you press it: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto]. Every light on the Control Panel should go out, and the error code should clear.
  6. If the error code has not cleared, wait a few seconds then repeat Steps 1 through 5.
  7. Program the copier as if you were going to make 14 copies.
  8. Press the green [Start] button to store the reset code. The copier will return to the ready position.
  9. Run a test copy

This should resolve that fault code


NOTE: Some Status codes will not clear even though the problem has been fixed. Status codes that will not clear must be manually reset using the 'Fault Reset 14 Procedure'.
  1. Locate the [C] (Clear) button on the Control Panel, at the far right.
  2. Locate the Image Quality button, below the Auto on the Control Panel, toward the left side.
  3. Press the buttons in the following sequence within 4 seconds. Press [C] (Clear), press [Image Quality], press [C] (Clear) again, press [Image Quality] again.
  4. The error code should disappear. If the Status code does not clear, repeat step 3 until the status code clears; but no more than five times.
  5. Use the [10] and [1] buttons to enter 14 on the Display Screen, as if you were to make 14 copies.
  6. Press the [Start] button. The machine should be ready to use.
  7. Make a copy, to check that the machine is working properly
