SOURCE: cold box at the top of the fridge

This box is the evaporator which provide cooling for the whole fridge. They will only freeze things solid that are easy to freeze. Don't count on it being like the normal freezer.

SOURCE: fridge problem

you have a defrostion issue reed to remove the back panel in the freezer behind this panel is the evaperator coil needs to be melted down because it is full of ice and frost, ahair drier will work well, put several towells down under the bottom of the evaperator to catch water runoff, after defrosting the coil inspect the defrost heater or heaters some of these can have one or two heaters the heaters are located behind metal gaurds in the evaperator if either of the heaters are bad (both)need to be replaced, if they show good then bad defrost timer or bad defrost termination thermastat wiring diagram behind frount bottom grill

SOURCE: Integrated fridge freezer growing iceberg..

problem could be one of two things.
insulation breakdown will cause an iceball to form.
if the compressor is failing, then frost line does not reach the thermostat poisition and compressor runs all time and an ice ball will also build up
in either case, not worth repair

SOURCE: top of freezer not freezing, bottom of fridge is?

Could be the evaporator fan motor is not working. This is what circulates the air from the freezer to the refrigerator section.

Why is water pooling in bottom of fridge under veggie drawer.? Also freezing ice cubes in back part of cube drawer

Just above the veg drawers at the back is a channel that collects water when the fridge defrosts. It has a hole to drain the water which is blocked and the water is pooling under the drawers. Clear the hole with a drinking straw.

Hi,my bosch f/f is freezing in the veg box and has a lot of ice under the last box in the freezer comp. What is the problem please?

In the back of your fridge you should see a hosepipe connected from the freezer's defrost water drain to the evaporating tray usually located on top of the compressor. The drain is blocked, hence you get ice on the bottom of freezer. The easiest way to clean it is to pull the hose pipe off the fridge outlet and clean the drain upwards with a piece of soft wire or electric cord or something similar. On my fridge (Bosch) I found the drain clogged with a kind of jelly like stuff. The other way to the drain is by removing back panel inside the freezer compartment but be careful, I sort of ripped mine off and broke plastic plugs on which it was fixed. Make sure you know what you doing.

Hotpoint RLA64 getting too cold.

The thermostat capillary on a Hotpoint RLA64 (and possibly RLA80) is inserted into a tube. The tube becomes detached from the cooling element and so does not sense that the fridge has reached the desired temperature. It then carries on cooling resulting in ice build-up and freezing of goods.
As you cannot remove the top or back of the fridge, you cannot fix the capillary tube back into position. What you can do however, AFTER ISOLATING THE FRIDGE FROM THE MAINS SUPPLY, is to drill a small hole adjacent to the thermostat capillary tube and another in the roof of the fridge next to the interior light and pass the thermostat capillary INTO the fridge cabinet. Use tape to attach the capillary across the roof of the fridge and down the centre of the rear wall curling the last 50mm or so back up towards the top of the fridge. As long as you have dried the wall of the fridge and stuck the capillary securely in place, your fridge should now work correctly when powered up.
Only tackle this job if you are confident and ALWAYS ISOLATE the mains supply.

Fridge freezer not working Hotpoint RFA17

It is one of two things. Either your compressor went bad or the relay that connects to the compressor is bad. Those are the only two reason why it would not cool at all. You can try to unplug it and plug is back and and see what happens it might shock it back
