HDMI ports are not more working on my LG tv set.

If all the HDMI ports are faulty then the problem is probably a damaged HDMI cable.

The thin wiring in cheap HDMI cables can break after a time due to flexing. Make sure you replace the cable with one that is both sturdy and long enough to prevent flexing.

Buy from high street retailers like Currys or Argos who will replace any faulty goods.

Can i use chromecast on this model tv LG 42px3rvc-ta

Ought to work with HDMI. Suggest to try before buying or have a Return policy.

Most HDMI displays work with Chromecast, but not all will allow full Chromecast controls (HDMI-CEC for games, media functions with TV remote, etc.) If all of the HDMI ports on your display are in use, consider getting anHDMI Switcher

See Chromecast compatible televisions
When you see the model LG 43PX3RVA (nearest to your model) it is listed as '480p and incompatible. however the detail inside lists

Lg 42lt75 used to work with a bp630 blue ray player but now shows "No Signal".

have you tried connecting ur laptop via hdmi to tv? if it works you should probably check tv settings for hdmi, if not then it is possible that the hdmi controller from tv to have some problems, i had a similar problem with a philips tv and took it to service ending up in a total replacement of motherboard and led display

Can't get hdmi signal from comcast dvr to LG smart tv

the type of cable you use is important. i work for dish network and i have seen cables go bad. also tv's hdmi imputs go bad as well. i would call a technitian out to look at the system, have him try a new hdmi cable and in different ports to make it work. it may be there reciever or your tv.

I have a LG LHB335 Blu-Ray home theater system, & a LG TV I can get Full surround sound when the blu-ray is play a DVD but not when just watching Reg TV. I use a HDMI, should I hook up sonething else ?...

LG documentation states:

When you use SIMPLINK function, you have to

connect to the OPTICAL IN 1 jack to enjoy TV
sound to your speaker system.

Basically you need to have the Audio go from TV to receiver and setup receiver to that Input to output surround sound to all speakers.

If you have a cable box or satellite receiver, hook that output into the receivers input and that should work.

My setup is DirectTv HDMI output goes into the LG Home Theater HDMI Input 1, and LG goes HDMI output into the TV HDMI input 1.
so to watch DirectTV, I switch LG Home theater to HDMI Input 1. and TV is on HDMI input 1 (to view LG HDMI output from DriectTV, Blu-Ray, Vudu, etc.)

I have the LG Dn798 hooked up through my Yamaha receiver

Does it work via component or in a different HDMI port? If it does it sounds like either a bad HDMI input on the tv or a bad HDMI output on the receiver.

I would also verify that the receiver is 100% compliant with the HDMI standard as not all devices are.
