Press and hold the 'Child Lock' button for 2 seconds. You will then hear a beep and the child lock should be off..

1. Switch on the power and when the language is displayed - press the child lock+ temperature+ spin buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds. Release the child lock button when other languages appear. Scroll down using temperature button-until English is dispalyed. Select using child lock button.

1st try pulling the mains plug out for an hr to see if this will reset the main board.. failing that its either a faulty console board or the board has dislodged from panel at rear so when you are pressing the button you are not making contact with the switch itself.. good luck

hold the button in for about ten seconds this should unlock the panel

Just press and hold the child lock button till it is removed.

Try holding down 'options' & 'select' together the light changes OR 'dry' & 'spin' OR hold down 'end of cycle'. Works for other machines, tell me what did it.

Press "end of cycle" button for over 5 seconds, the child lock comes off. Press it again and the child lock comes on, this works for Hotpoints, you could try, no harm.
