I have an OKI 12i that constantly prints blotches and marks down the left edge. I run cleaning pages that come out dirty over the whole page front and back but the blotches keep coming back along the left edge. In addition, it is necessary to warm the printer up for several minutes prior to printing the first page otherwise it will jam. I have replaced the drum assembly several times and continue to have the same issues. Any suggestions on how to fix.
Hi
That sounds like classic wear and tear issues. All those rollers and gears have very close tolerances and any variation out of the rang and the paper grabing and jamming starts. And that could be cause of the toner leaking. You must have a lot of miles on that ol girl and you got your moneys worth out of her. They dont make them like that anymore and I dont think you could find the parts even though that was back when they supplied parts. I asked an engineer once "couldn't they make that one gear out of metal like the rest of them?" He replied "well sure, but there wouldn't be any money in that..." You beat the system on that one. Time to start your research on a replacement I'm afraid.

open it and clean the drum with a non scratching no-dust tissue with alcohol or similar

This sounds like a problem in the computer program that is sending the prints to the printers....especially since it is happening in several of them.

this may be a driver error ..or a setting one...first reinstall the driver for to be sure it is working well and on default setting ..
after that from the setting menu ...reset to the factory settings the printer ..for the same reason ...and at last ..run a page calibration ..and see what is doing after that ..
To run the calibration you should probably print a start page ..
