The USB port in which your flash disk has been inserted muight be damaged. Try inserting it in another port.

I have a Kingston Data Traveler 8GB USB Flash Drive which I bought 4weeks ago. Whenever I plug it in one of my usb ports, i get a message which says "USB Device Not Recognized. One of the USB Devices...

The thumb drive might have some fault.
Plug it in other OS mainly windows XP and Linux.
If still same problem persists after tried in Linux, problem is with pen drive.
You can ask for a replacement from the dealer as it has guarantee for 5years.

I buy kingston 16gb data traveler usb im try to conact to my pc its not working and showing window not recognize that device.can i get help to solve the problem.thanks

Hello,
Try re-inserting it a few times.
If not recognised, click for troubleshooting and see driver details. If it says that device drivers either not required or not installed, it means the device drivers required to make the data traveller function are not installed in it.
This is a manufacturing defect.
You can get a replacement for free from your dealer.

Tell me what happens.
I am following up.

Regards.

Data traveler not recognize my computer

If you are using a USB Hub, try removing it and plug the drive directly into the USB port on the computer. I have a Dell laptop running Win 2k and sometimes have the same problem.

Driver needed for 2gb kingston usb

If it is Win XP with SP1 ( check this - tight click My Computer, click Properties and check if it is Service Pack 1), then you need the latest SP from microsoft (that is SP3).

WinXP not recognizing USB drives, the SP is the most common cause I  have seen. Update to SP3 and it should solve your problem.
