You haven't given the exact model number to your TV here. Anyway, check its mains fuse [can be located at its power regulator board] first. If it find opened, do not replace an other; without rectifying the fulat inside the power board. If protection fuse should blow up, surely there will be some reason for that, including short circuit or failure of components.
If you replace the fuse with an other one, the fuse that you will insert will also blow up, and may cuse more faults to other components. OK.

You will need the DLP chip replaced to get rid of the white dots. You can call samsung at 1-800-samsung or you can buy the part from Suburban-electronics.com for $170.00. You really will need a technician to replace the part, very invoved proccess. Part # is 4719-001981.

I had the same problem. I bought my tv at Best Buy and my warranty included a new bulb for the lamp. They only last about 2 yrs or so depending on how much you watch the tv. You can also buy replacement bulbs online that don't cost too much. BUT, you will need to replace every couple of years. The things you listed are exactly what happens when the bulb goes out. Hope this helps!

Cant find component 1 on samsung tv

Use your input/source select button. Should display input 1,2,3,4 comp 1, comp2 etc in order then repeat. Make sure your using the correct component input. Most sets have 2. Turn on the device first so you'll know your there when you see the picture
