SOURCE: adding machine tape will not advance. I have

two things it's either the motor that rolling the tape is not working or the gear that holding the tape holder is broken you need to open the mechanical system of your calculator.carefully re arrange the gears.because you force the tape to put in the tape advance might got dislocated from the gear.go ahead and open the cover and arrange the order of the gear.before you dis assemble the mechanical take a photo of it before you dismantle so that you wont forget the placement order of it when return the parts...good luck!

My TI-5130 will not add and subtract

It probably uses adding machine logic. Try the following example.

3+
4-
5+
*

You should get 3, -1, and 4 on the screen, the running total. The tape should show the +3, -4, +5, and finally 4, the numbers that you entered and the total. Think of each entry as adding/subtracting integers on a number line rather than 3+4-5;)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Vhs is stuck in machine. Won't play and won't eject.

There are any number of reasons why it won't play. The loading basket is jammed, the video tape has got tangled up in the mechanical section of the vcr or the loading gears are stripped. Unplug machine and remove top, [screws side and back] if the tape is spewed carefully remove by cutting it and clean tape particles, for any other problem have a technician check it out.
