Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Polaroid will not release component schematics not even to service centers as they are designed to replace the entire modules while under warranty out of warranty there is very little Chance of obtaining new replacement parts. As i have a 2006 LCD and a 2007 Plasma Polaroids and polaroid told me they are considered a disposable TV replacement parts are not available and suggested that I try ebay
No schematic, major short, usually the power supply or high voltage circuit, nothing you yourself can do. Pro repair about $450.00. If your in electronics replace the HV transistor first.. then?? Please rate

The problem you have is with the G1 board. The 17 volts is not
supplied. Do you have a multimeter and know how to trouble shott
following a service manual schematic? if not call a pro to assist you
as this could be the G1 board, but to be sure, you will need to
troubleshoot and check some voltages and follow circuit flow using a
schematic diagram.If you can then let me know..
