Can't get rid of the photo card blinking light on my HP PSC 2175 printer. Also can't get rid of 'print cancelled' message on printer. Was having problems with print cartridges which I've replaced.

Hi,

The Nvram memory on the printer may be on the fritz..

Take out the cartridges unplug from computer and follow the steps below:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the all-in-one.
  3. Wait 30 seconds and plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  4. Press the Cancel and Right Arrow buttons.
  5. While still holding the buttons, plug the power cord back into the all-in-one. Continue to hold the buttons for two seconds, and then release them.

  1. Allow the all-in-one to re-initialize. This may take a minute or two.
  2. If prompts appear in the all-in-one display to set the front panel language and country settings, perform the steps to set this information.
This will reset the printer to factory defaults- clean the cartridges and reseat them back perfectly following the instructions to the T.

Hit me again if this doesn't got it fixed

and don't forget to rate

Try hard reset .

Unplug the power cord of printer for 30 minutes and plug the power cord to printer after 30 minutes .

This will reset your unit .

If your problem still exist then you need to check the position of the cartridge being place .

hard reset is done by unplugging the printer from the power for 10-30mins and then again use ot normally.

all the flashing errors will vanish and printer will start working as usual.

    thank you

Advances ticket too far after printing.

your label length is set incorrectly, there are 2 things it could be
1) your software is telling the printer the label length is longer then the current labels, even if the label size is out my a single millimeter the printer will give you this issue of feed an extra label. you need to change this in your software. you can set a label size smaller then the current label size and it will work correctly

2) you software is not setting a label length and so the printer is going off its internal setting, to recalibrate hold feed and power up the printer letting go after the light starts flashing

it is important to note that label roll will change slightly over time so even though you are ordering the same labels as a year ago the manufacturer will have slight changes from batch to batch
