Question about Computers & Internet

Open Question

I need drivers for AOC L20W Monitor.

I have AOC N20W monitor, and when I connect it to my Samsung R530 laptop and change the settings to "Show monitor only" I get black screen on the monitor with a message saying "Input Not Supported". When I change setting to "Duplicate monitors" it shows the screen but only with my laptop monitor's resolution with "Input Not Supported" message. I have been looking for drivers on official AOC website but it didn't have the drivers for my monitor. If you know how to fix it please help.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: hi...my AOC 17" CRT monitor

Change to the lowest settings you can on the other monitor, then connect the 17" CRT. If you can see anything, go to display settings and slowly bring the settings up. If you lose the display, press "n" (there is a dialog box asking if you want to keep the settings, y or n). Most likely it is a refresh rate that is set to high. Try setting this to 60 Hz for starters.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: No 1440X900 Resolution Option in Display Settings

Windoze is not detecting the monitor correctly. Right click the desktop as you had before to get to the display settings. Click the "advanced" button at the lower right, on the next window, click the "Monitor" tab, and remove the check from the box from "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display". That should add to the settings the 1400 X 900 resolution you are looking for.

What resolution are you trying to run? The native resolution for your monitor is 1440 x 900, setting to that should fix your issue

This sounds like a computer problem and not really a television problem. Check your driver files.

Try removing your driver files. Then disconnect your AOC monitor. Reboot the computer and login. Shut down the computer and reconnect the AOC monitor. Start the computer. Now install the monitor drivers.

AoC 913 W Monitor driver. The monitor was the last in a show room and the seller didn't have no more the accessories, including the install CD! Now, the windows 7 only says I have a standard monitor, and I...

I don't think it matters whether or not you install the monitor. In fact I don't even think the monitor has a specific driver. The monitor should still display fine with a standard monitor driver. You should still be able to use all of its features. The more important driver is your graphics driver on your PC. That will determine your ability to change things like refresh rate or screen resolution.

In any case, if you would like drivers, the best place to go is to the manufacturer's website. This is the link for the manufacturer's Brazilian support page:

http://www.aoc.com.br/v2/php/index.php?req=pagina&pgn_id=4

This is the North American one:

http://us.aoc.com/support/downloads

Usually you have to go to downloads and select your monitor and the driver you want. Although honestly, they don't even have drivers on the American site, they just have the manuals and the technical specifications of the monitors. In general, monitors don't need drivers, and they usually aren't packaged with them. The install CD that you are referring to that would normally come with the monitor usually only has the user manual for the monitor in different languages.

You might need to go into the monitor's setup menu and select the digital input. (That's DVI, by the way, for Digital Video Input, and not DV1.) Some monitors automatically detect the input but not all of them. Obviously, this doesn't apply if the Samsung has only a DVI input. It might also be necessary to tell the video card to turn on the DVI output. You can do this with your old AOC connected and use the video setting utility supplied with the video card.
