What does error code (Er-EL) on a Bose sound system on a 2002 Acura MDX mean?

I get an error message ER-EL when I touch the CD button. The message appears and the system goes back to fm station. This is on a Bose sound system in my 2002 Acura. Owner's manual does not have this error message recorded.

You can disconnect the battery, reconnect it and use your radio code to get it working again. This worked for it...it's like I 'rebooted' the cd player.

I have a 2003 Audi A6..the cd player does not work...it shows "ERROR" 3..and the light does not come on when you push the cd button. What could be the problem?

It sounds like a cd is jammed in your player. If you have the radio code, you can try pulling the fuse for the radio and then leaving it out for 15 minutes and putting it back in. Then put your radio code in. Sometimes it will reboot your player and kick the cd out, sometimes not. If it wont, you would have to get it serviced by a professional to get the cd pulled out or replace the unit. Do you have a cd changer or a bose sound system in your audi?

Jammed cds in a 6 cd changer ford ranger 2002

sounds like the tray inside was misaligned when the cd went in. and it probally sent the disc into a occupied slot. you will have to remove radio and disassemble to repair. also try just unpluging radio and plug back in. sometimes it resets the radio and will start ejecting the cds
