Labtec Wireless Desktop Keyboard and mouse driver

We have installed a Labtec Wireless Desktop Keyboard and mouse, connected via USB, on our Windows XP (service pack 3). This causes the system to freeze a few times a day. The PID of the keyboard is: PN731KA. We think it is the driver software but are not sure which version to download from the Labtec or other sites. Can you help identify the correct driver to use and where to find it? Thanks, Jane

Also check to see if you have enough memory installed as this has caused problems for others. Bud

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Usually, the connect procedure for Labtec is, that you press the small connect button on the receiver, (which on some models, then starts blinking).. Next, you press the connect button, on the bottom of either the mouse, or keyboard.. then repeat this, for the remaining unit.

Note: You might have to connect the PS2 receiver BEFORE starting the PC, and also might have to install the drivers, to get the multimedia-keys to work ! Good luck!

Did you receive a install disk for the keyboard and mouse. typically you need to run the install disk and then plug in the usb hub for the keyboard and mouse to be recognized by the computer. If tha does not work, restart the machinew/the usb hub and keyboard and mouse ready. Are there good batteriesin the keyboard, mouse and usb hub?

Wireless mouse and keyboard

Push the connect button on the wireless base, then push the connect button on the keyboard or mouse, that is supposed to reconnect the device. Make sure the wireless base is close enough to the keyboard.mouse, and nothing metal is blocking the path between the keyboard/mouse and the base.

Labtec wireless desktop.

Could be radio interference from somewhere. I tracked my similar mouse problem down to emissions from the ethernet adapter that connects over the house mains wiring. Try the using the mouse close to the receiver, if it works ok interference is likely.
