Water won't drain away from the drum. I think I may have a blocked filter. How do I access to clean the filter on a Hotpoint WT960G washing machine please. Many thanks.

Most Hotpoint washers do not have a customer accessable drain cleanout. Also, it may be a full or partial pump failure. Replacing the pump assembly will improve washer performance.

Replacement pump is about 20 Pounds delivered, and can be self installed quite easily.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THE FILTER IS SITUATED. Thanx.

They are normally behind the "kick" panel that runs the width of the machine on the front. just pull the panel off, grab each end and pull straight off tilting slightly up as you pull. on the right hand side as you look at it you should see the filter.

In the sump hose there is a filter, remove the hose and clean out filter insert, water is being forced up dispenser hose because it cannot empty fast enough.
