Was any engine work done to the vehicle, a loose ground can cause this problem. The cam sensor wiring harness can also rub through to ground and cause this problem. If you disconnect the cam sensor harness at the module and read the ac volts across the 2 terminals while idling, it should be about 1V Ac. If not replace the sensor.

Check engine code p0340 on a 02 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l 4x4 how to fix

Trying to figure out how to reset the check engine light on your RAM 1500? You can use the following three-step process to get the job done in no time:
  • Find your battery under the hood and disconnect the black/negative cable.
  • Wait 20 minutes for the power reserve to expire. The RAM 1500 check engine light should reset automatically during this time.
  • Now, just reconnect the black/negative cable. You're ready to get back to work.
If your check engine light is still on after you've gone through these steps, you may need to drive for 50 miles or so in order to reset the computer. If this short driv

Battery light is on when idleing, but when i accelerate battery light goes out

Two things can make the bat light come on at idle but go off above idle.
The belt could be slipping because it is not tight, or glazed, or the alternator could be defective.
Once the engine starts, the alternator should be making enough current to "turn the light off". The light is grounded thru the alternator until it is charging, which reverses that circuit and kills the ground source for the light.
If you are sure the belt is ok, I would have the alternator bench tested, because usually if the belt is slipping it slips more at higher speeds.

2000 sunfire has p0336, p0340, p0130, where to

p0130 is an oxygen sensor code.
p0340 is your camshaft position sensor code
p0336 is your crankshaft position sensor code

as far as the p0130 code those usually are what i call neglected sensors that do not get replaced when they should be. this sensor is expensive but worth the money as it will help on fuel mileage.

on to the camshaft position sensor, i would start here with this. replace that sensor and when you are replacing it, inspect the sensor and make sure the electrical wires going into it are in good shape. after replacing those 2 sensors, go to a parts store who can erase your codes to turn the light off and then let us know if it comes back on and then we will go from there on the repair.

Clean the Idle Air Control Valve. It's on the throttle body below the Throttle Position Sensor. Worked for me! Good luck.
