Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Magellan Maestro 3100 stuck on

you have a failed firmware install. If the rollback has not worked and is stuck on the magellan screen, it needs to be send to magellan repair center

SOURCE: Magellan Maestro 4250

I just called Magellan.....1-800-707-9971. I got my 4250 for Christmas 2007 and never did register it. We did that over the phone and then he gave me a repair order and an address to send the unit to them. It will be fixed under warranty.....my only cost is the UPS or FED EX shipping. He said I will have it back in 7 to 10 days. OUTSTANDING service.
Mine was stuck on the blue screen.......and the pin reset did nothing.
SO......best of luck to you all......and I highly suggest calling Magellan.

SOURCE: My Magellan maestro 3225 wont charge or start up

Same here - the problem, at least with mine, is that the power pin on the unit has become loose and not making contact with the machine - thus will not charge most likely from pluging and unplugging it in multiple times and breaking the connection inside the unit - FWIW, this GPS a real piece of **** and I have already replaced it with a Garmin- I'm trying to figure out how to take it apart to see if I can solder the power pin back in place but it is not as easy as removing the 4 back screws...

SOURCE: hi i have just bought a magellan maestro and can

you say the voice directions are not working, but does the voice work at all..like when you scroll back through the screens, it should say back ect ect. if the voice does not work at all, ck the speaker icon on the main map screen to see if its muted, indicated by a slash through the icon..if it is not on mute, go to the system folder the to the sound tab go in there and make sure its not muted in there, if it is, unmute it and restart the gps..its a common problem on these magellan if the battery is run to low or completly dead which causes more problems. if all else fails, do a hard reset

SOURCE: My Magellan Maestro 31100 won't power on

You could have a defective power connection in your Magellan Maestro 3100 which will not allow you to charge the internal battery or power on your unit.
You may try to contact Magellangps.com or Autonav2000.com to see if they can provide you with repair service.
Might be cheaper to purhcase another Magellan Maestro than spend the money on repairs.
Good Luck

on some units this may take awhile to load depending on the area you are in. mine does the same thing. if it really never finds the signal and it does this continually then try to reset it

Maestro 4040 satellite is "stuck" and will not update to current location

make sure it has a good charge on it, then turn it on and find yourself a paper clip or something similar...looking at the 4040 screen, look on the left side of the gps near the bottom you will see a little pin hole (thats the reset)..use the paper clip to depress the reset, you will know you have reset it when the unit restarts...now take it outside in clear view of the open sky and let it there for up to 30 minutes to allow it to aquire the satellites...you will know they are locked on when you see a few green bars on the top right of the map screen.

if you want to know how to prevent this in the future, post back here.

My magellan position froze in Colorado and stays frozen.

try a hard reset. start the gps and using a paper clip insert it in the little pin hole on the side of your 4040 and take the gps outside in full view of the open sky and let it aquire the satellites, it may take up to 30 minutes it lock on to the satellites. if that fails, follow the link below to update the unit to the latest firmware for the 4040 you must register it on the magellan site before they will let you download anything.
