Stuck At Detecting Adapter

Disconnect it, remove any software that was installed and restart the computer. Do not connect the device until you finish installing the device's software or the software installation prompts you to connect the device.
If that doesn't work, here's Microsoft's solution:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly
If that doesn't work, go to Netgear's website for support and/or post the problems in the forums.
I hope this helps.

As you said that you have reformatted the computer , try to reinstall your USB bus controller drivers because it seems that your USB bus controller is not detecting your USB adapter when connected.

Where do i get the drivers for the wireless- n-150 wna1100 for linux ubuntu

Chances are that if it doesn't hot swap, its not going to work. You can try their website and see if they made a driver specifically for Linux, BUT your best bet is to:
  1. Plug it in
  2. Go to System
  3. Go to Administration
  4. Then go to Hardware Drivers
**Pic of where it is HERE
Let the program search, and if it exists it will be found. If not, the company never made a driver for it meant to be used outside of windows.

Every time I try to reinstall my wna1100 it says that it can't be detected and i cannot get blue light back on

Make sure you reboot your computer after you uninstall it, and prior to reinstalling it. Also, note there was a new driver that came out for this device. http://www.linksys.com to check for an updated driver. If you have the older driver (1.0) original version; there are some issues with it and USB 1.1 ports. I would defiantly try an updated driver.

It got stuck on detecting adapter

I have a solution!!! The issue is with your antivirus software. I believe you have KASPERSKY antivirus software on the computer and that is what causing the issue. Please uninstall KASPERSKY and then retry the installation of the adapter. I strongly believe the adapter would succesfully install. Now you can go ahead and reinstall the KASPERSKY.

Have a nice day!!
